7:00 p.m.                               Evening at PARI - Star party guests are invited to participate at PARI’s monthly Evening at PARI program. This months program is a presentation by Dr. Mike Reynolds on amateur meteorite hunting and identification. All visitors will receive a small sample meteorite to take home with them.

About Dr. Reynolds: Dr. Mike Reynolds has spent thirty-six years in astronomy and space sciences in the gamut of a high school and university instructor, planetarium and museum director, researcher, writer, lecturer, and administrator. He earned his Ph.D. in Astronomy and Science Education from the University of Florida. Reynolds has received numerous recognition for his work, including the 1986 Florida State Teacher of the Year, NASA Teacher-in-Space National Finalist, and the G. Bruce Blair Medal in Astronomy. He has written a number of astronomy books and articles and is a Consulting Editor for Astronomy Magazine. Reynolds has led numerous astronomical expeditions worldwide, and has also served as an invited speaker internationally. Dr, Reynolds is Executive Director Emeritus of the Chabot Space & Science Center in Oakland, California and is currently Dean of Liberal Arts & Sciences and teaches Astronomy at Florida State College in Jacksonville.

10:30 a.m.                              Dr. Mike Castalez will discuss and explain the NASA meteor network and the PARI All Sky
                                               Camera.
12:00 p.m.                              Lunch
1:30 p.m.                                Group Picture, followed by a campus instrument tour, which will include APDA and the meteor films
                                               being stored there.
3:00 p.m.                                Don Cline presents the PARI Meteor Collection and some of his personal best specimens.
6:00 p.m.                                Dinner/Door Prizes - Cafeteria
6:20 p.m.                                Sunset
6:49 p.m.                                End Civil Twilight
7:30/8ish p.m.                        Additional program (TBA): Fisheye/Nighttime/meteorite photography. George Fleenor of
                                               Geographics Imaging or Similar.

 Open Observing… all night.
