“Our February program will continue our look into electrical circuits by having the girls build a functional high tech item that includes an LED,” said Christi Whitworth, PARI education director. “Designs submitted during our January program will be completed during the February session, but prior attendance is not required and new ideas are always welcome. As with all our SciGirls programs, we will stress hands-on activities designed to introduce girls to science by making science fun.” The SciGirls will be displaying some of their projects and activities to the community during 4-H Family Night at the Transylvania County Library’s Rogow Room Tuesday, March 27. PARI hosts a SciGirls event the last Tuesday of each month. The participation fee is $10 per student.
