The 2008 Friends of PARI Annual Meeting and Symposium was held on Friday evening, September 12th. Distinguished Supporters were recognized. The Barry Lasker Scanning Laboratory in the Astronomical Photographic Data Archive (APDA) was dedicated. Ray Lucas from the Space Telescope Science Institute attended the dedication. Dr. Bob McMahan, Dean of the Kimmel School of Engineering at Western Carolina University, gave the keynote address. Representatives from Pleiades Consulting demonstrated PARI in the Second Life virtual world.
