Once again, PARI's Education Director Christi Whitworth judged the Astronomy Awards at the Western North Carolina Regional Science Fair on the WCU campus in Cullowhee. The winners by division were: Elementary Division - Ella Hunt - for "Counting the Stars"; Junior Division - Hunter Trombetta for "Solar Activity and the Ionosphere"; and Senior Division - Sally Dixon for "Black Holes: Then and Now." Both Hunter Trombetta and Sally Dixon will be taking their projects to the State Science Fair next month. Christi presented award certificates from PARI to all three division winners.
