SSL Scholar Josh Hall Participating in Cassini Scientist-for-a-Day Videoconference
Hendersonville High School Junior Josh Hall used PARI videoconference facilities to participate in the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory's Cassini Scientist-for-a-Day videoconference on Wednesday, December 5, 2007. Josh, a 2007 Space Science Lab Scholar, was selected to participate in the videoconference with NASA scientist and staffers based on his winning essay submission. Josh's essay was selected from nearly 200 entries from 24 states. Josh was joined at PARI by Dr. Michael Castelaz, Astronomer Bob Hayward, Science Educator Christi Whitworth, Friend of PARI Buddy Sanders and Josh's parents and sister. Scientists and staffers from NASA JPL included: Ota Lutz, Scott Edgington, David Seal and Rachel Zimmerman-Brachman. PARI's Space Science Lab is a Burroughs Wellcome Fund sponsored science education program.
