Furman University Professor, and PARI Research Associate, David Moffett and Furman's Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) Associate Director, Mike Winiski, brought twelve students to PARI on Wednesday and Thursday, September 30 - October 1, 2009 as part of their first year seminar. The seminar, entitled "Mars on the Shoulder of Giants," exposes students to scientific inquiry. PARI is a perfect scientific laboratory for this type of course. They collected some exciting images using PARI's West Oberservory and Smiley.
