Wyoming Infrared Observatory

The Wyoming Infrared Observatory (WIRO) is where I did most of my Ph.D. thesis work as a graduate student (1979-1984).  While a graduate student I developed an IR polarimeter and studied very young stars stil embedded in the material from which they formed.

WIRO is located near Laramie, Wyoming on Jelm Mountain at al altitude of about 9500 ft.
