Meteorites |
|---|
|
Every once in a while a rock traveling between the planets hits the Earth's atmosphere and survives its fiery plunge through the sky to land on the ground. These meteorites provide samples of asteroids and include some of the oldest material in the solar system. Don Cline, founder of PARI, will describe the major types of meteorites and give the public a chance to examine several rare specimens. |
