Home School Day Homework

Students attending PARI Home School Day should complete this homework before arriving.

Students in Grades K-2:
On 3 different days go outside and write down or draw a picture of the weather. Be sure to include
  • Precipitation (like rain or snow)
  • What the clouds look like (if there are any)
  • Time and place where you made the observation
Bring your observations to Home School Day.

Students in Grades 3-5:
On 5 different days go outside and write down the weather including

  • Temperature
  • Precipitation (like rain or snow)
  • Cloud cover.
  • Time and place where you made the observation
Bring your observations to Home School Day.

Students in Grades 6-8:
On 5 different days go outside and write down the weather including

  • Temperature
  • Precipitation (like rain or snow)
  • Cloud cover
  • Wind (speed and direction)
  • Time and place where you made the observation
Bring your observations to Home School Day.

Students in Grades 9-12:
Look up information about the atmosphere on the following planets and moons:

  • Venus
  • Mars
  • Jupiter
  • Saturn
  • Titan (a moon of Saturn)
Be sure to include what chemicals the atmosphere is made of, information on the structure and layers of the atmosphere and the temperature and pressure.
