NASA studies meteors and meteorites at PARI using an all-sky camera on the PARI campus that is part of the Fireballs Network, which looks for meteorites and tracks their trajectories.
The Low Frequency Radio Group at Georgia Tech monitors lighting from the PARI campus as part of an online long-term study.
As part of the National Science Foundation’s EARTHSCOPE project, UNAVCO has installed a highly sensitive GPS sensor on the PARI campus to measure geologic movements in the Earth’s crust. This instrument was one of the ﬁrst east of the Rocky Mountains in the UNAVCO network.
Clemson University’s upper atmospheric wind detector, the Clemson Fabry Perot Interferometer, measured high velocity winds and temperatures in the thermosphere.
Wave activity in the thermosphere is monitored at PARI through the Mid-latitude All-sky-imaging Network for Geophysical Observations (MANGO) Network.
PARI hosts an antenna for the Motus Wildlife Tracking System, allowing the movement of birds and other small animals to be monitored.
A portion of UNC's Argus Array was hosted by PARI during a phase of the project.
Real-time air quality is monitored and reported to the PurpleAir network.
Seismic activity and earthquakes are studied at PARI via a station from the Center for Earthquake Research and Information (CERI) at the University of Memphis.
PARI has been a host for antennas in the Radio JOVE project to study interactions between Jupiter and Io, and solar activity.
