On Recommended Grade Levels

Though a camper slightly younger than the recommended grade may be registered for a camp, we find that those within the listed ranges have the best experiences in these camp programs. You know your camper best, but we can provide some guidance in your decision.

To determine if a camp recommended for higher grade levels is a good fit for your camper, please consider:

  • Does your camper frequently perform academically at a higher level than their peers, especially in math?
  • Is your camper comfortable integrating into a research team consisting of primarily older teammates?
  • Is your camper able to interact socially with a group where the majority of campers will be older than them?
